You can give a child a future. Poverty is common in East Africa. Most children become orphans due to the consequences of AIDS or other deadly diseases. By giving a charity donation and making a sponsorship for a boy or girl in need, you will support a disadvantaged child care, education and of course – a future. There are a lot of charity organisation on the world which you can turn to. Most of them are very effective in terms of providing help. When any child is sponsored, he or she gets nutrition, clothing, necessary medical assistance, school fees and scholastic materials. The funds believe that the only cure for poverty is education, which is why they put school first.

You can support a charity organization by giving a charity donation specified by your own choice. Often, if you wish, your name or your organization’s name can be shown on public donation lists. You can recieve special thank-you from the child or children you’ve helped. You can also establish an African Children support group and this is easily done. Find some like-minded people, meet and brainstorm what you can do for children in Africa. The group or each person separately can raise some funds for children in Africa. For example, a young girl in Spain send the contents of her piggy bank to a charity organisation to help children in Africa. It was very touching and heartwarming and showed that even little kids are ready to help.

One can send a packet of books or a toy to a child. Most children in slums have no boks and no toys, so even small envelope with a toy or book can bring a lot of joy and benefit for a kid.
Some people prefer to visit Africa-Uganda. One of the best things to do is to visit Africa for yourself and meet the children where they live, so you can support them on the spot and help with whatever they need most. You can also visit a sponsored child in Africa, if you have one. This is fabulous way of falling in love with Africa and meeting your sponsored child or pick a child to sponsor.
There is also always an opportunity to come to Africa on a volunteer work trip or short term mission trip. Thousands experience Africa in this manner.
